360 Waves Supplies Checklist:
✔️ Wave Brush & Comb:
Combing and brushing behaviors are essential during the 360 wave process. Brushing should be done several times a day, utilizing the specific brushing pattern for your desired waves (180, 360, etc.). A Professional Carbon Fiber Styling Comb and Soft Brush make an excellent duo for the task at hand.
✔️ Moisturizing Hair Products:
Another key aspect of the 360 wave process is applying hair moisturizing products. Keeping the hair healthy and hydrated is a must, so make sure you have all the high quality hair care products you need. Pomade, oils, creams, lotions, and hair butters can all provide moisture, and the one that works best is based on personal preference and hair type. ✔️ Wave Shampoo/Conditioner:
Using a wave-specific shampoo and/or conditioner is ideal for washing the hair during the wave process. Wave shampoos and conditioners are formulated with specific ingredients that work to hydrate the hair and deepen the wave pattern. It’s a great idea to get your hands (and hair) on some wave shampoo and conditioner for the 360 waves you want.
✔️ Waves Plastic Glove:
One popular method used during the wave process is the Plastic Glove/Bag Method. Although this methodology does not replace brushing and combing, it does help further deepen your hair pattern and lay the hair flat. Simply put on the gloves after applying pomade/moisturizer, and glide your gloved hands over the hair in a brushing pattern. This works to evenly and thoroughly distribute the moisturizing product into the hair, keeping it hydrated and trained.
✔️ A Great Barber:
Getting regular haircuts is essential during the 360 wave process, so make sure you know a good barber who is familiar with the waves hairstyle. Start with a fresh, clean cut and then get regular cuts every 2-4 weeks, depending on your desired hair length.
✔️ Patience & Maintenance:
360 waves do not form overnight and can take up to several months, depending on your hair type. Be patient with the process and consistent with your maintenance behaviors. If you can do this, you’ll end up with exceptional waves that turn heads on the streets!
